Invite your team and set roles
Bring your team into Handl so they can manage projects, quotes, and invoices alongside you — with the right level of access for each person.
- Go to Settings → Team.
- Select Add Member → Invite Member.
- Enter the person's email address and choose a role: Project Manager or Admin.
- Select Send Invite. They'll receive an email invitation to join your agency.
- Once they accept the invite and set a password (or continue with Google), they're added to your team with the role you chose.
While the invite is outstanding, it shows in your team list as pending, with options to resend or cancel it.
Good to know
- Roles control what a person can do. Owners and Admins can manage the team, change agency settings, and take sensitive actions like reverting a client's quote approval. Project Managers and other team members work within projects without managing the team or agency settings.
- Only Owners and Admins can invite, edit, or remove team members.
- The number of team seats available depends on your plan — the Solo plan includes one seat, Team includes three, and Agency is unlimited. A pending invite counts as a used seat, so if you're at your limit, cancel an unused invite or upgrade your plan in Settings → Billing before inviting someone new.
- Invitation links expire — if someone waits too long to accept, ask them to request a fresh invite.

Can I change someone's role after they've joined?
Yes, from Settings → Team, as long as you're an Owner or Admin.
What if my team is at its seat limit?
You'll be prompted to upgrade your plan before you can send another invite.
Can I remove someone from my team?
Yes — Owners and Admins can remove team members from Settings → Team at any time.
