Add attachments to a quote
Add attachments to a quote
Give your client the full picture by attaching supporting files or links directly to a quote — scope documents, mockups, or reference material — so everything they need to make a decision is in one place.
- Open the quote in the quote editor and go to the Attachments tab.
- Select Upload File to attach a document from your computer, or paste a link (for example, to a Google Doc or Slides presentation) and select Add Link.
- Uploaded and linked attachments appear in a list on the tab, and also show on the client-facing quote page once sent.
- Remove an attachment from the list at any time before the quote is approved.
Good to know
- Uploaded files can be up to 10MB, in PDF, Word (.doc/.docx), PowerPoint (.ppt/.pptx), or plain text (.txt) format.
- You can add up to 10 attachments in total per quote, combining files and links.
- Links need to be a valid web address (Handl will add "https://" automatically if you leave it off).
- Attachments travel with the quote wherever it goes — they're included if you resend it, and carried over if you copy a revoked or expired quote into a new draft.
FAQs
Can I attach an image file?
Not directly as a quote attachment — stick to PDF, Word, PowerPoint, or text files, or link out to an image hosted elsewhere.
Can my client download attachments from the quote page?
Yes, attachments are visible and accessible on the client-facing quote page once it's sent.
What happens to attachments if I revoke or resend a quote?
They stay attached — resending or revoking doesn't remove existing attachments.
