Handl's platform fees

Handl takes a small percentage of each payment processed through the platform — separate from your subscription — so it's worth understanding exactly what's deducted and when.

When a client pays an invoice through Handl, a platform fee is calculated based on the payment method used.
Card payments carry a 0.5% platform fee.
Bank debit payments carry a 0.25% platform fee.
The fee is deducted automatically from the payout to your connected Stripe account — you don't need to do anything to pay it separately.

Good to know

The platform fee is the same across all plans — it isn't affected by whether you're on Solo, Team, or Agency.
This fee is separate from Stripe's own processing costs, which apply as usual on top.
The fee isn't shown to your client as a separate line item on the invoice — it only affects what lands in your payout.
You can see the fee recorded against each individual payment in your payment history.
In rare cases an agency may be on a custom negotiated rate rather than the standard 0.5%/0.25% — if that applies to you, it'll be reflected in what's shown against each payment.

Does my client ever see or pay this fee?
No — it's deducted from your payout, not added to what the client pays.

Is the fee different for larger invoices?
No — it's a flat percentage regardless of invoice size.
