Control what appears on invoices
Control what appears on invoices
Your invoices should look like they came from your agency, not a generic billing tool. A handful of settings control your branding and business details across every invoice you send.
- Go to Settings → Branding to upload your logo and set your primary and accent colours — these appear on every invoice PDF and payment page.
- Go to Settings → Agency to add your business number (shown as "ABN" for Australian agencies, or "Tax ID" elsewhere) and registration details.
- Go to Settings → Financials to set your default payment terms and your default tax rate and label (for example GST, VAT, or Sales Tax) — these pre-fill new invoices automatically, though you can adjust them per invoice.
Good to know
- These settings apply agency-wide, so every new invoice picks up your branding and defaults automatically — you don't need to set them up per client or project.
- If your logo isn't a standard image format, Handl converts it automatically so it displays correctly on invoice PDFs.
- Per-invoice fields like tax rate and payment terms can still be adjusted on an individual invoice if a particular client needs different terms.
FAQs
Can different clients see different tax labels?
The label itself is an agency-wide default, but the rate applied on each invoice can be adjusted individually.
Will changing my logo update past invoices?
No — invoices already sent keep the branding that was current when they were created.
Where does my ABN or Tax ID show up?
On your invoice PDFs and the client-facing payment page, alongside your business name.
