Project management tools: Jira, Linear, Asana and Monday
Connect your project management tool and let task progress flow into Handl automatically, so your milestones stay up to date without manual chasing.
Steps
- Go to Settings → Integrations.
- Find the card for Jira, Linear, Asana, or Monday, and click Connect.
- A pop-up window opens — sign in and authorise Handl to access your account.
- Back in Handl, link the specific external project (or board/team) to the matching Handl project.
- Click Sync now for an immediate pull of tasks, or leave it — scheduled syncs and live updates from your PM tool keep things current automatically.
Good to know
- Sync is one-way: changes flow from your PM tool into Handl, not the other way around. Edit tasks in your PM tool as usual.
- Task progress rolls up into milestone progress, so you can see at a glance how close a milestone is to done.
- Jira also brings across worklogs (time logged against issues), which is handy for cross-checking against your timesheets.
- A "Discovered projects" view lists external projects you haven't linked yet, so you can connect several at once.
FAQs
Does editing a task in Handl push changes back to Jira/Asana/Linear/Monday? No — the sync only flows one way, from your PM tool into Handl.
How often does it sync? Automatically on a schedule, plus live updates whenever your PM tool sends a webhook for a change, on top of the manual Sync now button.
Can I connect more than one PM tool at once? Yes — different projects can be linked to different tools.
