Time tracking: Harvest, Toggl, Clockify and Hubstaff

Connect your team's time tracker so logged hours flow into Handl automatically, ready for you to approve and invoice.

Steps

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations and find your time tracker.
  2. Harvest and Hubstaff: click Connect, sign in through the pop-up, and authorise Handl.
  3. Toggl and Clockify: click Connect and paste in your API token or key when prompted.
  4. Choose how far back to pull your first sync — 7, 14, 30, 90, or 180 days.
  5. Entries import as Pending — review and approve them in the project's Time area before they can be invoiced.

Good to know

  • Imported time always lands as Pending first — nothing is billable until it's been approved (see "How time entries sync and get approved").
  • Toggl and Clockify connect with an API key rather than a sign-in pop-up, so there's nothing to reconnect if your token stays valid.
  • Large teams on Hubstaff may see a slightly longer first sync while Handl works within Hubstaff's rate limits.
  • Ongoing syncs happen automatically on a schedule alongside the manual Sync now button.

FAQs

Where do I find my Toggl or Clockify API key? In your Toggl or Clockify account's own profile/integrations settings — copy it across when Handl asks for it.

Can I choose which projects sync? Yes — you link specific external projects to specific Handl projects rather than pulling everything at once.

Will unapproved time show up on invoices? No — only entries you've approved are ever included.
